Default First wedding...

I am a very new to photography, I've only had a DSLR since August, but I am really loving it and trying to get out there and shoot as much as possible. I attended a friend's wedding last month and took some shots that I quite like but I know there is much room for improvement.

This image is my favourite shot from the wedding and any feedback you guys can offer would be much appreciated.

Thank you!!

Please take the time to read the rules/guidelines and include the information that should be included in your posts.
The more you include, the more apt you are to get responses and the better we are able to help you
Including your photo here would also be a big plus. Much easier to view and critique if its all on one page

once you post it correctly, (exif and embed the image into ur post), I'll make this suggestion.

I would remove the seagulls cause I find them distracting. They are very graceful or stylist birds, so they kinda take away from the wedding moment. Its a cool shot with them flying at that moment, but for a wedding memory, I think it doesn't suit it.

Was this a crop?

I think your vignetting is a little too much. I would also raise the exposure / brightness a bit since its too dark in their faces... maybe some fill light.

Have you added the seagulls in? Looks surreal to me, almost as if the pic was taken infront of a tv screen.

Apart from that, a nice image, and moment captured, but slightly spoilt, by having the heads in the centre of the pic. Use the rule of thirds to full effect, or break it with intent and drama.

Peely.
