Default Think I have plateaued...need some umph?

Hey all,

Been practicing pumping up my pictures. Would like them vibrant. Want great bokeh. Want them sharp. Want them to cause oohs and aahs. I know I still have lots to learn about my camera, shooting, post processing. Anyways what do you think of this picture?
Can the colors be better? Is it blah? Have any of you felt stuck before?

Thanx!

Be very careful of words in the photo (like on the shirt). Big no-no as it takes all the focus off the subject. Also, the subject is darker than the background, which draws attention to the bg.

So you have two things taking attention away from your main subject. Hope that helps.

Thanx guys! Going to go back and play with it a bit. And good tips Kevin. Definately helpful.
