Default First try at engagement pics

Had my first engagement photo shoot...with my son and his fiancee! It was a lot of fun!
This was taken on an overcast day, right before a downpour! Does the lighting look flat? If so, what should I have done differently? It just seems like the image is lacking vitatlity somehow and couldn't put my finger on it.

I actually like it.
you can try boosting up the contrast and colors using a curves layer.

Took a peek at the other 3 shots also they are great composition. You did a good job on your first attempt.
