We were climbing a 2900m mountain. About half-way there, we were having our rest and got a snapshot of this picture. It was underexposed when I shot it but since I really loved the expression of my friends' suffering faces I decided to use Adobe Lightroom to help "save" the picture. I'm a newbie with lightroom but I managed to crop and tweak a few things to come up with an image I deemed acceptable.

I like it. It definitely conveys the struggle.

I'm actually not bothered by the white background/sky. However I know that some people do not like the sky to be washed out / overexposed.
On the bright side, with a bit of practice in photoshop it would not be all that difficult to add a nice blue sky into the background if you decided to.

I would like to clarify that the background is actually not the sky but instead a group of clouds/fog.
