Hi, let me preface that I am not an expert with photography but with some understanding..( I hope) , At first when I look at this, I can say that, it is a good composition, I like how the preggy mother posed but examining a bit with other elements specifically with the lighting effects this is what I noticed; The lights fall under her knees, it is much better if the ambient light will fall in her tummy to emphasized the she a carrying woman, I think it is better if you position her head in the opposite direction and let the light falls on her tummy (just my opinion)...I'm leaving other comment for the other

I like the tones and "mood" of the shot, but I find the soft focus distracting. I also think the composition could use some work, maybe with more space above her instead of below.

Hi, I think you have a technically good image exposure is a bit dark and moody, like the others said... I'm not sure I favor the post though... my first thought was she looks like she's in the delivery room... something about the sheet and her position... I'm no expert and I must say that posing is a challenge for me... but just my 2 cents.

I like the photo overall. The pose is good. I think if it was framed a little differently it could have been better. Definitely like the suggestion of putting more space above her than below. I like the lighting on the left side of the photo but I feel that the right side is too dark. I would have liked to see the same light as on her legs overall, if that would that would have been possible. Also, this screams cheap wrinkled bed sheet. Something silky or velvety would have been nicer. Just my observations. Like I said, I do like the shot overall.

hey everyone, thankyou for your input!
I guess one of the main things i should have done was to turn her around so the light was hitting her stomach....definitely keep that one in mind the next time!
