Default Popping Bubbles

Was curious if the edit of my daughter chasing bubbles was too much. I went BW at first but thought sepia was better. Just don't know. Seems like the shot is missing something. What do you think. Thanks in advance.

It looks like a cute shot, but I agree, something is just off about it. I personally would love to see the color version.

I think this would just work best with colour. The grass looks dead in monochrome.

Do you still have the original or coloured version?

I agree, I think the shot will look more "fun" in color

Thumbs up

I really like this shot. It looks like Sepia style to me, no? I just think it gives it a timeless look. Nice job.

Do you mind if I (or others) play around with some post processing on this? I think it has a lot of potential to be a really cute shot, just needs a little work.

no problem. I have the raw file also. I really liked the pic. Showed her having fun chasing bubbles. Just couldn't figure out how to express it. Still on the begining of the learning curve.

Okay, here is what I did. I opened it in camera raw, brought up the exposure a little bit, bumped up the clarity and virbrance. Then I ran the Pioneer Woman's Boost action (which is free on her website). It sharpens and pops the color. And cropped it down just a bit. You could probably do a much better job working with the raw file than what I did working with the jpg though. It is a REALLY cute shot. I just love the bubbles.
