Default Baby E Newborn Shoot

I just did my first newborn shoot today and wanted a bit of feedback on the end result.

Baby E

EXIF INFO:
Exposure 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture f/2.8
Focal Length 50 mm
ISO Speed 200

My main questions are: How's the composition? I would have liked to have seen her hand in this shot, but she was not having me or her mom try to pose her like we wanted. Also, as newborn babies are she was a bit red, so in post processing I tried to even it out. How's the skin tone? Should I work on it a bit more?

I like the composition. I probably would have rotated her a little so that more of the light was on her face instead of the top of her head. I would probably work on the redness on her eyelids a bit more, but overall, her skin looks pretty good.
It is cute shot though. I love the sleeping baby shots.

aww, what a cutie! Looks pretty good to me, besides the red eyelids as mentioned above, and some red spots on her left cheek

Very good shot overall.

However, the baby's right eye (left side of photo) is a bit out of focus. I would have bumped the ISO up to 400 and shot with a smaller aperture.

Both eyes are almost on the same plane due to the baby's "head on" orientation. Both eyes become viewers focus due to this proximity of depth.

Shots that are more profile in nature can get away with only one eye being sharp. The eyes are generally on separate planes in those cases. One eye generally becomes the foreground focus. I hope that make sense!

Keep up the good work!

Makes sense! I know what you are saying. I appreciate the feedback, because I'm not sure I would have noticed it without you pointing it out. So thank you!

Nice shot. Perhaps a bit soft around the face (maybe it's just my monitor).
