Hello,
Today, I present this photo. I like it but do you ?
I have named it "conversations" as it seems the flowers get closer to the young girl, maybe to listen to her...

Cheers

Oui, I like it, too!

It's not what someone would call technically perfect. However, the technical "flaws" seem to lead to a nice, personal style that we are seeing on this photo, and the monochrome (B&W) conversion has been done well. I love the contrast and the blur.

It's just so lovely and many thanks for sharing it

Hello,
Thank you for you comment.
What are the flaws for you ? Maybe some come from the post-treatment.
I have focused the flowers and let the girl in the blur (the blur is optical with a short aperture f/3.2 and not added in the software).

Ah, the flower is not quite sharp and is blurry. I don't know if I'm wrong, but the focus seems to be in the centre (the flower is not quite in the centre). There seems to be more clarity on the stems than the flower itself. Maybe it didn't help that the aperture is so open and therefore, the depth of field is too small. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here.

There is this roundish brightness in the background near the photo - a little distracting as it's almost as bright as the flower. It's almost mysterious to me, though, and makes me wonder what it is (in a good way).

That's really it, don't know if others will comment on anything else or correct me.

Thanks again.
I have other shots with larger depth of field. I'm going to post-treat them and I will show you. Just to keep the best one.

I kind of like this, except I think it would have been better had you had more of the girl in the photo.

Aside from the critique you've been given, nice images. I like the first one because you can see more of the little girl. But I also like the second one becasue of the position she has to the flower. I like the context of both images.

I still prefer the first one you posted.

In regards to the other one, first being the one with her more in it, you've kinda lost that ethereal effect that the original photo you had for critique. It's a nice photo, but I think it's not as nice. Also, her face lost drama due to the "colour flatness" of her face.

The second one is not as good as the first photo (the original one for critique) because it has less contrasts, plus you lost sharpness on the stems/leaves so they're not popping out as much.

I think keep to your instincts and eyes and keep doing what they're telling you to do

Hello,
Thank you everyone for your comments.

I agree with you Graciousness, I prefer the first one I have posted. But it's interesting to share the other ones to compare the points of view of this nice (international) community.
When I was shooting the photo, I was feeling that it was a good idea but I want to progress and obtain more.

Thanks again !
Cheers.
Olivier.
