Default Camryn in Bluebonnets

How is the composition in this one? Should I have put her head right in the middle?

Compositions not bad. You definitely don't want the head in the middle (rule of thirds) if anything a bit to the right might not hurt. Did you use and artificial lighting. Love the location really pretty!

Yes, I used my off-camera flash set at -1 1/3.

It was so bright outside and I try to avoid harsh shadows on faces.

I understand what you mean. Harsh shadows arent always that great (especialy when photographing females it's very unflattering to most.). The problem with you shot is while trying to get rid of the harsh shadow there is very little shadow at all giving the image a very flat look. Next time you shoot in a situation like this you could difuse you flash or try and bounce the natural light onto the darker side of her face with a reflector or large white board (one of my persinal favorites because its suttle but makes a big difference.) or you could use no flash or reflector at all and just try and lighten it in post but I'd only do that if none of the others work. Hope this helps.

Oh! Good point! I actually did take my diffuser off of my flash because I was worried it wouldn't work as well, but now that you said that, it would've made it a softer picture! Thanks I'll know for next time. It was so hot that day that I didn't want to deal with my reflector. I wasn't charging for these photos so I wanted to do them and get it over with I'll know better next time so thanks so much!
