Nope, don't think it's too dark.
Though I would love to have a 2nd light separating the subject from the background. something behind her camera right hitting her right side would really have popped her out from the background and made this a lot more dynamic in my opinion.

I'd say too red before too dark.

This is begging for black and white.

It's getting there. It's a little soft (focus) and a little rugged (light/skin/etc). I'd say you've done all you can with this one...get back in there and do something else.
