Default Is it ruined?

I can't decide if this photo is ruined because she is closing her eyes or if it's a good picture. Sometimes I look at it and I love it and think its a cute shot and sometimes I'm cursing myself because her eyes are closed. Critique from others may help me decide. Thanks for your help.

Is it ruined?, In my opinion and based on what I percieve this image...NO , closing of her eyes give me an impression that she looks downward, looking for pieces of autumn leaves and she enjoys playing, the head position leaning on the left side adds to the composition even her eyes is closed but I still there is a perception that she was looking on the wider right side of the frame. again this is just based on what i have seen, others may have their own interpretation too.

Not ruined by any stretch of the imagination. Would it have had more impact if the eyes were open? Sure. It is what it is, though...

..and what it is is a really nice image. Composition is good, as is the framing. I would probably keep the proportions, but crop it down on all sides by the same margin to maintain the loading of the left side and negative space.

I'd say it just needs a quick levels adjustment along with contrast, and some care to bring up a richness in the leaves.. there are some nice yellows and greens to be found if you're careful by bringing up the saturation in the yellow, green and red channels.

Thanks for the replies. I know what one likes is subjective. I just don't know what my subjection is telling me about this picture.
