Default My first studio photoshoot

Ok, just grab myself a nice Canon 660D just last month.. and I didn't stop clicking those badboys...

So went to join these organized photoshoot.. and totally clueless how to use a trigger, the correct angle on the lighting and what instruct on the model on what to posed...

so here goes.. my first photoshoot which got me in trouble w/ my gf..
scolding me that I started into photography 'coz of these models...



Would love to hear ur critiques and comments 'coz I'm really into portraits

Exif: dunno what to put... can't seem to see it in flickr..
i'm using kit lense EF 18-135mm
shutter speed 1/160
lighting provided by the organizer..
ISO 200..
F?? already forgot I just follow what they told me the settings that will match on their lighting set-up

Nice result with vivid colours although I think it would be better with the frame shifted a bit to allow a bit more space for her left elbow. If you had complete control over the set up, you might want to have a few shifts to disguise the folds of flesh tucked in near her right shoulder or to get a bit more light on her upper left arm (including making the bump at her elbow less visible).

Overall, a strong image though.

when shooting with strong lights that seems to be straight on with out any diffuser, you'd want a pose that won't emphasize any bones or folds of the human body.
wulf got it right.. the elbow bone of her left arm is really distracting and doesn't compliment the model.
try blurring it or even removing it in PP and see what you get.. same for that fold.
