Hi there and welcome!

I think it would really help if you provide a specific area that you need help on or want to ask about. Asking for general comment is ok, but it's better if you keep a little bit of focus on something a bit more particular. Otherwise you'll get a general comment like (yeah, it's ok or yeah, it's good or bad) but then you may not get anymore than that.

Is there something in particular about this photo or how it's taken that you wanted to improve (i.e. composition, exposure, etc)?

It's hard to critic this photo as it really doesn't tell much of a story. The subject is not very relaxed, a bit of fear or hesitation in the eyes, etc.....he's posed quite stiffly. Is there a particular background story to this or this is just a straight portrait shot of someone?

Seems a bit under-exposed, but my problem is with the over-all photo. I am not a big fan of the composition. A subject dead-center of the frame in landscape orientation screems "snap shot" versus photograph. You have included an in focus background, but there is nothing in the background to give me an idea of who this is or why you took the photo.

This has potential to be a great shot.

It is underexposed. Using some kind of flash would definitely bring this picture to life. If you don't have one or you don't like the outcome then bump up the exposure time a tad or raise the ISO or have a larger aperture.

Another thing is the composition. A dead center photo is boring and unappealing to the eye. You may want to read up on composition tips and using the rule of thirds.

Also, if you can't open your aperture any wider, it may be in your best interest to find a simpler background. Often too much background noise causes distraction and takes away from the picture.

My thoughts exactly.

If you had read the rules before posting this, you might have got a lot more advice.
