Default Took this the day he died.

This photo was taken quite a while back and I was wondering is there anything to make it better now? This picture means a lot to me and I wanna make it better in anyway possible.

first of all - I'm sorry for your loss.
regarding the photo, I think it's very powerful as it is, the only thing I would do is work the levels in PP to get a more accurate display of colors.

I share Mr Jones' sentiment; I'm very sorry for your loss too.

This is the most powerful photograph I have seen for a good long while. The narrative is very strong -- the white sheets and the wristbands tells us what we need to know about where it was taken; your six-word title tells us what sadly happened in the end; and the central theme of the photograph tells us that whatever the context there was a strong bond between those involved as everyone "held on".

Others may be better-qualified than me to pick out some technical details but as far as I am concerned everything is in place to make this a hugely powerful photo. I'd be strongly inclined to leave it as it is, especially if it is SOOC. It just speaks. If the post of pp is to help a photo speak more clearly, with less noise, then there's no point here -- you won't get many photos that speak more clearly than this one.

Thank you for sharing. I'm almost welling-up just typing this.

And from me, my sympathies for your loss.
I love the picture, it says so much about the relationship between the owners of the hands. And although the hand looks fragile there is still strength there in the grip.
As mentioned above maybe a tweak in levels but otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing - except maybe get a large print and frame it.

As everyone else stated, this is a very powerful image and I'm sure that most can relate to it with sympathy. I am sorry for your loss. I am in the camp that thinks desaturation goes a long way for these types of photographs. Then again, I think it is fine the way it is.

My sentiments are the same as the others... its a great picture. Depending on what you want to do with that pic, the name and I believe... SSN is visible. Don't know if you want that "out there". Unless it is a picture only for your personal collection.

I would say you're very fortunate to have that image, and my condolences for the loss that accompanied it.

If I had a similar image, I think I would save it as is, and work with a copy to either explore it in black and white, or adjust the color curves a bit, if you think it would improve the image.

I'm looking at a laptop screen at the moment though, so not a great judge of color. Maybe you could use the yellow band as the color reference and bring things a bit more vivid?

Again, might be my screen more than your image, and either way, my admiration for an inspired image...
