Default Blocks and hands

I walked by my son playing with his blocks and said to myself, this might make a good photo. I'm new to photography please let me know what else I can/should do.
Settings: f/5.6, 1/30 sec., ISO 800

Hi,
Lots of views and no replies often tells you something...It does me anyway. I think the picture is a little dark/under-exposed and the clarity is a little underwhelming. A little kiss of flash? Less politely, I guess it sort of says to me ...."and?"....I'd try all sorts of angles and try and get more of the child in the picture. Perhaps shoot really low, up through the hands and into the face...If you want just hands and objects, they would have to be sharp and in focus. Snap away and get a ton of shots...I always do when photographing these sort of moments with my kids. Careful cropping and PP will bring out the best too. By the way, I looked at your Flickr, and those train shots are a great subject for a series of shots.
Regards
Dave
