Default Favorite Senior Shot from Saturday

I had a Senior Session on Saturday and the conditions were AWFUL. We were at a State Forest, which should be ideal but it was muddy (from recent rain), the sun was blazing down on us in the early morning, and even though it's been in the 50-70's nothing had bloomed. I was almost defeated, until I shot this shot... and it rejuvenated me.

Anyhow, thoughts... comments... suggestions... criticism... praise?

Holy huge picture, Batman!

Can you resize it so it's no longer than 740px on the long side, per the forum rules?

Apologies for the large photo in the original post. Here's a smaller version, from Facebook so the quality is horrible... but oh well.

Much better, thanks. Can you post your EXIF, please? Anything in particular you'd like critique on?

a couple of questions on your settings...why did you decide to use f10 and 1/60 sec?

My thoughts exactly. I'd have opened up a lot more to separate the subject from the background and used a faster shutter speed.

I'm not a fan of the tilt; it looks like she's tipping over backwards and bracing herself, lol. I'd love to see a color image - BW conversions don't usually suit busy backgrounds.

Hey Susan!

To answer your question, I don't have a reason for the shutter speed. It was my first time shooting with my new lens in very crappy conditions and my camera bag broke that morning -- so, my mind set was all over the place. I was shooting in aperture to make sure I didn't totally screw anything up and I don't think my head was all there when I shot this photo. I really liked it at first but now I'm starting to re-evaluate.
It's tilted because... well I don't remember why I decided to do it, I guess at the moment it made sense in my head.
I have attached the color copy but I'm not a huge fan of it. In fact, now that I look back at the black & white I don't love it nearly as much as I thought I did earlier -- ha, don't you love when that happens.
