Default 1st try at this kind of thing...

hi there, this is my first try at taking, and post prossesing these kind of shots. I was never really into black and white pictures, but I actually like it for this kind of shots..

Did I convert it to black and white ok? What could I've done differently?

ISO 1600
f/1.8
1/80sec

Any sujections on how to make it better, or other shots like these in the future are awesome!

Nice tones, get closer so the baby fills up the frame. I feel there is too much space around the baby. Exposure looks fine, but to really see you would have to print it.

I think that cropping is not the same as physically getting closer to the subject. That said you may not have that option. Why are you shooting at such a high ISO?

well it was cloudy outside, and not very bright inside the room..setting up the camera with that ISO gave the right exposure reading on the camera...im still learning on how to set the camera, and only that ISO seemed to work...
