Default Candid

I took this candid picture of my cousin at one of my uncle's wedding recently. Your comments and critics are highly appreciated.

ARGH !!

I always do this wrongly. Sorry for not asking what I want. Since I'm still a beginner, it would great if you could comment on this picture generally and which areas I can improve. Giving some pointers on how to improve would also be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

You didnt do anything wrong!
You'll see by taking closer looks at your own photographs and seeing what yu like o dont like and thereby asking something more specific. It will help you to see what you may be needing to improve on with each photo you take. There are no wrongs becaue with each step you take you learn something new!

One thing I did notice is where the crop is taking off the top of his head. I do like the colors and his expression!

Does it mean that I should shoot this picture a bit higher because this picture is the original piece. I did not crop it at all.

Once again, thanks for your comments. It really is helpful.

I am new also and that being said I may be totally wrong… But I would crop and draw the child’s face in some, then make sure his eyes and face was to focal point in the pic. I would also bring out the true color in his eyes. Or even go with a B/W.

Well, thanks for your suggestion. I will surely try that.
