Default Any suggestions?

Does this look flat to you? how about the color and exposure. I like it but I feel like it could be better.

Seems fine to me. Not the most interesting photo... he's not engaging the viewer or anything else as far as I can tell.

I don't think it looks flat, the back light from the sun makes it pop more. The grass in the background looks a like it has a blue cast to it, you could do a color adjustment to enhance the greens and mask off the skin and wooded area in the back since their color appears good.
I did convert it to bw to see if that would make it more intersting, hope you don't mind:

the thing that bothers me the most is the background- the grass is mottled w/shade and sun, and that makes it hard to pick out his face from the background. then the end of the grass/start of brown stuff is right at his head- that really messes up the view. then, as a pp has said, it's not terribly interesting- you've taken it from adult perspective- just standing there looking down on him, he's only a small part of the overall frame of the photo, and he's not looking at the camera or doing much of interest. the exposure looks all right to me and i like the sunlight on his hair. keep shooting!
