So, add me to the club of first time critique posters here at DPS.
I'm working on a new project "Seconds at the Station", and it has me pretty far outside my comfort zone of photography, in many ways, being semi-street photography is the main, it's an area that I am not confident in and am sure that I've got a lot of practice to go through. ![]() D700 180mm 2.8 af-d (no VR) Hand-held, no flash. Shot at Iso 100, f/5.6 at 1 second. Black and white RAW conversion in light room. I'd like to note, that part of the point of the project is to capture seconds of time, and thus the second long exposure. I've been trying with and without tripod to experiment. I've not done much purposeful black and white work shooting in digital, much street work and this project is a first for doing lots of daytime shooting at a second. I'm primarily looking for feedback about composition, whether or not the motion from the long exposure actually works here, the black and white conversion and any other thoughts or ideas you may have. Also, any advice for composing with lengthy hand-held exposures in mind would be welcome. Thanks
