Shadowing a local photographer

Hi all, first a little background. I've been shooting for almost 3 years now, and have a pretty good grasp of the basic technical stuff. I'm starting get more into people/portrait photography, and about a month ago I contacted one of the photographers in my area and asked if could come along on some his shoots. He said wouldn't mind and would be glad to help me learn. I've been on two shoots so far. The first one, he said was really impressed and couldn't really find anything to comment on. He hasn't said anything about the second one yet.

And now to the question: How am I doing so far?

He set up all the poses and stuff so I guess I'm looking for...

Editing… etc
