Default Opinions on the crop?

I took this photo of my youngest today for p365. I did some post processing which I am really happy with. you can see here. But I am not sure how to crop this....I want the focus to be on his eye. How would you crop it? (btw, this image is sooc)

<3 what you have as the after looks great. next time i would zoom out a bit so you have more cropping options.

I really like the version you posted in you 365 thread - beautifully done. Love the window light in his eye.

Nothing wrong with the edited version in the link...Does a great job of emphasizing the eyes.

I don't see a better crop from the original, maybe if there was more to work with in the original.

Thanks!! Well let me explain a little bit. For project 365, I am purposely trying to not take full facial photos of the kids. If I include the kids, I wanted it to be just bits and pieces. I am trying to do experimental things with this project since I already take a lot of regular photos of them. With this photo, I was about 18 inches away, as close as I could get with the 50 lens. I was trying to get closer than that, but it wasn't focusing. So the super close up of his eye was intentional. But I was thinking that maybe one of you might see a crop that would be better. Thanks again!!

I don't mind the crop that you chose, but play with a square crop. I love your post processing, but not having any of the lips kinda bug me and the out of focus eye also detracts from your in focus eye. I grabbed your original and played with a square crop and really like how it looks. I also rotated it to the left to enhance the crop. I put the in focus eye along the upper left third and had a portion of the nose and mouth visible.
