Default Balancing Act

Canon 5D Mark II, 70-200 f/2.8 IS

ISO 1000, f/2.8, 1/160, 105mm

I really liked this one and was bummed out that it came out a bit blurry, so I tried to salvage it with B&W.

No specific questions, just (aside from the blur) what could be improved? Thanks!

(If anyone cares, the set is here)

i like the acrobat's body position... the photo is nice except for the blur as you mentioned... i'm not sure if the blur is caused by bad focus or just not enough shutter speed... since these two most probably are twirling in relatively fast speed which you can see from the tip of the foot on the guy... try playing with sharpen mask and see if you can get it cleaned up more... other than that nice shot... i didn't know that you are allowed to shoot a cirque show... how did you hide a 70-200?

No need to hide anything - everyone was really open about it. This wasn't Cirque du Soleil, but a the contest "international circus of tomorrow" in Paris, France -- no rules about photography. I've mailed the artists whose addresses I could find, offering them the pics if they want them, since they were all under 25.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try that -- I will also screw around with grain, I just thought it might come across as a bit cheesy.
