Default My Son My World

This is my first post. I am just starting out with photography and would really love some feedback. This photo was taken wit my simple Sony point and shoot. I've trying to gain experience with a point and shoot before moving on to something 'bigger' I know the forum rules say I should be specific about what I want critiqued and I shouldn't simply ask 'what do you think' but being new to photography I really would just like an overall critique so I know what I should start focusing on.....
Thank You!

My main concerns are the composition of the photo and lighting.

This photo was taken on August 8, 2010 using a Sony DSC-H20.

Actually, I can't see your photo, and it would help us help you if you included the exif data.

Oh, and welcome to DPS. We're a bunch of nice folk here (minus me, Jim, Jim, Max, Os, and a bunch of others )

If you upload the photo to a site like Flickr, it's easy to transfer both the image and the EXIF data from there to here. Try reading the post at the start of this thread about how to do that -- and if it doesn't work for you, post the problem you're having and we'll be glad to help! There are also helpful posts at the start of the critique sections that give suggestions about the kinds of questions you might ask about a specific image so that you get more direct responses.

Good luck and I hope we see the image soon!

Well looks like you figured it out. Nice photo. I like the colors. In terms of composition I prob would have cropped a little more off the bottom to avoid the chopped limb. Look forward to seeing more from you. Welcome to DPS
