Default Friends portraits (natural light)

Hi, this is my set on flickr, some friends portraits all shot with natural light, most of the photos are minimally manipulated (saturation and contrast) except for a few...

Canon 450D + Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 non VC
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1000)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 200

Friends portraits - a set on Flickr

All photos were taken by Canon 450D + Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 non VC.
Do you think it is over-edited?
Are the photos boring? I mean, after I took the photos I thought I might would have tried some action or funny looks...

Thank you.

Excuse me if I didn't get it but English is not my 1st language, it says:

((Please post only ONE image in the thread. If you need to show more, link it to your set. If you post more than one, the other will be deleted at the moderators discretion.))

I didn't put a photo but a link to my set, is it against the rules?
thanks

Some of the photo's do look a bit over processed, it looks like there was a focus issue on another, and I think the composition is off a few as well.

Usually the posting rules are interpreted as: One photo in the post, including EXIF data for the photo, plus a link to any additional photos.

The single photo in the post is usually the one that receives the critique, and many members don't like to click links.

Thanks!

I like this shot. The expression on your friends face, and the way he is looking off camera to the left, plus the room on the left all works for me. It's not boring at all.

The only thing that bothers me, even tho it's blurry, in the background there is a tree or something coming out the side of his head. It's distracting to me, but that's just my opinion.

Some may say that you need to add a bit more light (maybe with a reflector) on the right side to brighten it up just a little, but I like it the way it is.

Overall I like the photos. They don't look boring, you've capture some emotion/feeling in them. I'm not so keen on the 8th one, it looks a bit forced/posed. The 6th one would be better if it was crisper, it looks like the focus is a little behind his face. It could also do with a bit of light in his eyes. I hope you won't be offended, but the third one looks a bit like a still from a gangster film but I like that. In general you've caught them looking relaxed, having fun which is how every friend wants to be photographed.
