Default Lost in Thought

Hi all. I'm still trying to improve my portraits and would appreciate critique of the composition of this shot of my niece. I also desaturated it in post as I thought it suited the mood better than in full colour. Do you think it works? Obviously, any other comments to help me improve would be appreciated.

I really like this shot. I think your depth of field is good. The background is blurred but both of her eyes are in focus. I think you did a good job with the framing as well.

I think it's fantastic. Great focus on the eyes, and the desaturation is well done - looks almost hand-tinted. I really like it.

I think the desaturation makes her look grey and a little *sickly*...I understand you wanted a more somber feel than bright happy colors. Usually with desaturation you have to bump the vibrance (seems counterintuitive). Or maybe a bit of underexposure as opposed to desaturation...
I think you did a nice job taking the picture and she's a beautiful girl, but this isn't working for me.

I absolutely love it. Great composition, perfectly focused, nice depth of field, and I think the colour (or lack of) is gorgeous.

I'm really new to this so what I think doesn't hold much stock but anyway... I like the desaturation on her shirt, but I think that it's a bit too much on her face. Otherwise I think the shot is great!
