Question Village Boy

Sawani Boy

An impromptu portait of a young boy in a village in Fiji. Didn't have my tripod (but not sure if lack of sharpness detracts too much) and maybe slightly underexposed (ditto).
I think it still has impact but would appreciate any comments.

Taken with Pentax K200D 55mm F5.6 1/125sec

Well, I like the shot a lot but I think it may be just a little too dark up top. Otherwise great.

I love this photo, and if you don't mind, played with it in photoshop. Lightened the middle, brought out the eyes a bit and sharpened. I will take it down if you wish.

I definately thought the shot had impact. Did feel it was a bit fuzzy tho. Loved what Mso did with it. TFS!

ohhhhhh i like this image. i thought it would good in a coffee tone. so here's my go at it. i actually didn't whiten the eyes at all. after taking the lighter and sharper version MSO produced i then proceeded to turn the image bw, then sepia, then desaturated the sepia to get the tone i was looking for. then lightened the eposure a tad more and upped the blacks a tad. added a soft light filter to soften the grain and makes the contrast pop a bit more. and the whites to turned out whiter in the end.

hope you don't mind!

Wow...the B&W really changes the impact of the pic. I like it.
