Default Another recent shot...looking for opinions

Im new to the photography world....Im looking for advice on how to improve pictures that im taking such as lighting, exposure and so forth....what can I change to make this a better shot?

You will get more response if you put the pic in the post. People don't do links. Just click "share this" on your flickr page then copy and paste the html code in the post.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of selective color. It draws my eyes to the bow in her hair instead of her lovely eyes.

The b/w conversion is pretty muddy and grey, how are you converting?

I agree with Susan....I would 86 the selective color, I'm not a fan either! I also thing cropping in closer would be good to highlight her eyes. However, did you have a focus problem because it looks over sharpened to me.

I think the muddy look is do to being a little underexposed.

Super cute baby though!!!!
