Default Reflection

Good Morning DPS peeps!

I had a photo shoot with my kids while my son was home on leave. I would appreciate some comment/critique on composition, exposure. I have other shots that I am working on, but my son on the left is always in shadow. I think this was a great idea, can't wait to try it again.

Exposure 0.033 sec (1/30)
Aperture f/4.5

Thank you for your time!

You shot this as a reflection right? standing water? Try substantially reducing the contrast and bumping the curves to get more definition in the reflections. a bright lack and white conversion will also help.

I routinely use reflection shots and have to go through this procedure as a matter of course.

I would try to get a bit of the bank or edge of the puddle in the picture so you can tell it is a reflection.
