My sister, Danae, posing on the tracks.

Again, I was lacking fill-light, but I think that the composition and overall mood are satisfactory. Any suggestions for posing my subject? Is her hair too dull, is the loss of half of her shoe distracting, etc?

Thanks for your input!

two things bother me here:
1. the half shoe. for some reason my eyes went straight to the shoe, even before reading your post.
2. the horizon is not straight which makes the whole photo crooked.

MrJones, I agree on both flaws. Though I must admit that I didn't even notice the horizon shift. I was trying at the time to not slip down a gravelly slope, while still taking a decent shot that included the subject's full body.

I will work on this in future. Thanks!

ISO was 400, I believe.

And I am still adjusting to my new larger aperture lens, so I was unsure of my shutter speed. I believe that I will work in Aperture Priority next time, to insure proper exposure.

Any comments on a proper ISO setting for sunset light?

Thanks for the comment!
