Default New Year's Impromptu Portrait

New Year's Eve 2011

I took this shot at a New Year's party of my friend. I would appreciate any critique on the composition. I cropped out a bit of the balcony, adjusted a bit of the color, but decided the picture looked better in B/W.

It would be nice to not have her head bisected by the railing, or lose her hair into the background, on the plus side: beautiful model, nice work on controlling the direct flash and the framing giving her some space on the left...
