She's very cute. And I love those big eyes. However, your photo has some serious camer-shake issues. You might want to use a tripod next time. And make sure your focus is on the eyes. It looks like it fell on the collar of her sweater in this one. Welcome to photography!

Actually, it looks more like a misfocus than camera shake. Shake would be apparent in the whole image. Since the collar of her sweater is sharp, I would say the focus point was in the wrong spot. At 18mm, 1/30 should be enough to hand hold. How much of this photo is cropped out?

Agreed, it´s an issue of bad focal point and slow shutterspeed. Try to get your shutter speed at least 1/60th of a second and ensure you lock focus on her face and you´ll be on your way.
