Im new to people photography so any critique and ideas are welcomed

i'm wondering if you have so many views but no comments b//c we can't get the photo to display large enough to see. can you fix that?

whatever you did fixed it so that i can blow them up a little bigger (getting old here!). plus, now i see two photos instead of just one (although i believe that its actually against the forum rules to post two).

anyway, i like how the boy with the finger has a nice simple background and i really like the light in the eyes of the one boy. i'd certainly crop out the disembodied arm in the one photo. neither one is as sharp in focus as i like. i like the one of the boy who is not holding his finger up- the eye contact is nice and direct and i like his expression.

"neither one is as sharp in focus as i like" any idea on how to make it the way you like ?
maybe with photo processing or a second shot with different shutter speed ?
