Im happy with the shot but the shadow formed by his nose bothers me a bit. Any easy to get rid of it (I don't use Photoshop) or just forget it?

Exposure 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 116 mm
ISO Speed 500

hi, just wondering did you try to up the "fill light" or shadow in your post... you didn't state what post program you are using... it might make the shadow less obvious if you are really bothered by it... if you plan for a reshoot, using a reflector might help... hope that helps...

for what it's worth, i didn't really notice the shadow is weird until you pointed it out... and now i can't help but notice it...

The light here is pretty harsh - I wouldn't bother trying to fix anything, but I'd keep it as a cute snapshot for the family album.

i don't know what post software you do have but with something like lightroom/ACR,I might try using the exposure adjustment brush on the entire highlight strip that appears on the "shadow" side of his face. In other words, not try and bring the nose shadow up but rather take the bright area on that side down just enough so it isn't prominent.
But like the first poster, i didn't really notice it...I was more captured by the eye contact and catch lights.

The shadow created by the nose is so obvious because of the bright lighting in this photo.

You didn't state whether you created this lighting, or whether he might be standing near a bright window. Either way, I think this would be hard to fix in Photoshop, and I think it may be easier to re-shoot with more pleasant lighting.
