While you've got a cute little model and this is a very fun shot, I would have turned the camera vertically so all of his feet would be in the photo. I think the vignette is a bit too strong.

Wierdly I was just typing the same as Iputman re feet and vignette.
Nice eye contact and expression.

I don't think the vignette would be too strong, especially if you made him a little more vibrant. I like the vignette, though I have an admittedly strong taste for it. I do agree that including his feet would have benefited the photo, though. He's very cute!

Thanks all. I didn't catch the feet...but I agree that it would be nice to have them included. Unfortunately this was the only of LOTS of shots taken from this vantage point that was useable because my little model wanted to do nothing more than run over and say hi and run away.
I used the vignette to creat a feeling of dept as the original shot seemed so flat. I could see how it might seem a bit dark. Every shot is a chance to learn...that's my mantra at this point! |
