Red face Fashion?

I am incredibly interested in fashion photography, especially store similar to Forever21 and Urban Outfitters. I've decided to start experimenting, trying to figure out how to accomplish this and build up a portfolio.

This image is of my room mates. One of them is leaving for a semester so we wanted to get in some shots. I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and dress everyone up to try and get the fashion feel. I would like comments on composition, lighting, PP, etc, but also on if I was successful in trying to get the fashion feel. If anyone knows a lot about this, please give me tips. I'll soak up anything you give me. Thanks!

The image is kinda busy and doesn't look particularly sharp. The splotches of sun are helping matters.
Here is a link to a photographer, young guy in Phoenix, has only owned a camera for a couple of years years (!) ...i think he has the kind of style you are looking to emulate...

the pose and the expressions do nothing for me.
they both look like they wishing they weren't there and that kills it for me.
like zona said, they photo isn't as sharp as it should be.
as for the sun spots, I would have used them to light the models faces.. you could really play with light and shadows at that location.
