Default Spanish Beauty

I took this a few weeks ago and was playing around with some B &W actions for PSE 9. For some reason I really like this denim action..... What are you overall views of this photo? What could I have done better? I have much to learn and this site helps me so much that I am getting addicted to it. This young girl was like a natural the camera just loved her.

I think this portrait has a lot of potential to it. A few thoughts:
  1. I would love to see a wider aperture and blur some of that background out of there.
  2. The post production work does nothing for me. In fact, it's a bit distracting.
  3. IMO, you have a little too much bright sunlight at play, which is distracting from your model.
Keep at it. The pose is nice.

Spanish beauty? But you've highlighted that the main subject and focus is on the shirt since you've used selective color on it. Remove the selective coloring and the image will fit your title of Spanish Beauty. Other than that I think you have a nice image without the use of selective coloring.

forgive me if this is just a strange trick of my monitor- but it looks like her shirt is blue and various random leaves are greenish and then she has some blue hair. that i don't like. i think she's lovely and i would leave the coloring the way it is IRL plus i'd crop it very tight on the left, giving her some breathing room on the right, and try and take out the many bright spots that make my eye jump crazily all over the page.

other than that, which i think is mostly removable, i think she's very pretty and its a well done shot.
