I think you've gone too far with the contrast. there are hardly any shades of gray and that's why the background looks so busy even at f/2.
a couple of other things: 1. I think you should have put them both more to the left, even at the cost of cropping his shoulder. it would have been better composed that way. 2. you've managed to get your photo sharp and crisp this time but generally speaking, you can bump up your ISO to 200 or 400 and get much faster shutter speed.

Oh, i like BW!! And enjoyed your capture, the father looking for the daughter and the daughter looking somewhere else! Nice candid!!
Well, i agree with Mr Jones about everything and would add some points about composition: 1) I think it would be more dynamic if you put father/daughter to the left of the frame, cutting part of father's right shoulder. It would give some room to the direction the little daughter is seeing... 2) Get yourself a little low, because it seems you're watching them from above (you can see the top of their heads). 3) Put both of them more to the upper part of the frame. Once the background is messy, the less you include, the better. Of course composition is matter of taste. I just showed mine, okay?

If you have this in color I think it would be interesting to see only because the background looks like lush greenery and possible some water? Would like to see the contrast between the background and the clothes that the subjects were wearing, just purely for curiosity.
