For our 1 year anniversary my boyfriend and I took a trip to Old Town Pasadena for some gelato that was apparently the best. It was pretty freaking good, but I think I like this photograph more. This was taken in a random alley way, my boyfriend thought the brick wall was cool. Anyway! The ISO is really high for two reasons, one it was really dark, and two I was going for a little bit of an old picture/grainy look. Looking for comments on composition, but mostly color and PP. Anything else you can come up with is great too. Thanks!

The colour is great! And so is the composition. It is particularly interesting that your boyfriend is looking out of the frame which leads the eye. And good job on the gritty look!

i really like it as well. the brick wall and the b and w and the bit of grain all contribute to a particular feel. only thing.... here's this sort of darker, more gritty feel and this kind of tough guy- and he's licking an ice cream cone
to me, that messes with the feel of the photo- ice cream being all happy and innocent- almost as if he was holding a balloon or a lollipop

I like everything about this picture. The color, the patterns, and there's drama, too. I wish I could come up with pictures like this also... you make me envious..
