Default Fiona

FIONA

Camera Nikon D700
Exposure 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture f/5.3
Focal Length 112 mm
ISO Speed 2500

My question is How could I have used a lower iso without going to a more open aperture
or a slower shutter speed

Yes, I agree with SK66. You could use a lower shutter speed, but the camer would shake. If she was very still, you could use a tripod.. But, my best suggestion is: Once we can notice the available light coming from the left of the frame, I'd think adding a reflector or, maybe, turning her litlle beautiful face to the light a few degress and benefit from the light and also use the table as a reflector... Of course you'd have to take another position too, hehehe.

Congratulations!!

Fernando

if you get her to hold a reflector, puhleeze post a picture of THAT!

i think it's quite a nice shot, but you really can't go below that shutter speed with a toddler. so i guess more light it is

That picture actually has very little noise for such a high ISO. Did you run noiseware software on it?

Lol The only thing I could think of was to shoot in burst mode and hope for one or 2 decent ones If I can get her to hold a reflector at 8months old I will consider training lions for a living.
But that is a great idea for a shot...Thanks kristen
