I like the mood and the pose but the background is just a bit too much. I'd crop it at the edge of the striped thing. As for the pp/ I'm not sure about the color. It feels rather orange

I like the warmer tone. Looks like the sun is setting, and with your subject wearing sunglasses... it just works well for me. I like it

thank you both for the feedback.
I actually liked the slightly warmer tones, that's why I went on that direction.
anyone else wants to throw in his / her feedbeck?

I really like the PP! I do agree the stripped thing in the background is a bit distracting though. I'm not sure what it is. I love the lighting though. Great shot!

thanks Lisa.
it looks like it's sunset but the sun was actually pointing in another direction.
the lightning is actually an EX580 with a homemade grid attached to it pointed at his face.
I really recommend building a grid like that and playing with it. you can get really creative with it

I have to agree with the color critique I saw your other shots of this artist and i thought they were very good... I also like to see eyes in portrait but thats just a personal opinion

I like the color - if you dial it back a notch or two (a little less warm/orange) I think you'd keep the effect but it would be a little more subtle. I have really enjoyed this series that you've been sharing over the past couple days.

thank you both for your opinion.
if we learned anything from this photo is that color is a matter of taste
for every critique that doesn't like the color - we got one that likes it.
I'll try to meet both opinions, tone it down a bit and repost.
thanks again.
