Default Wedding Couple Fill Flash

This is a great couple that was married this past Sunday. These pictures are the camera JPGs, taken with my Canon 20D, I've not had the RAW in Photoshop yet to see what I can do with them. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

They are lovely images... I am going to assume that when you post your exif, we will find a fairly high shutter speed. Because the flash "freezes" your couple with such a quick pulse, you are able to shoot with much lower shutter speeds (dragging the shutter) and get more of the ambient light in the image. That is what I personally would like to see, is more ambient light. I quite often shoot night portraits like this around 1/40th of a sec or so to allow more background into the image.

agree. They seem to be almost standing in a black void... even with the light sources back there.

And the flash looks like flash. you know? head-on and very white. might have played with other set ups if it was me.
