Default Lively eyes

I came across this kid on one of my recent treks. There was this twinkle in his eyes. I wanted to highlight his lively eyes.

you over processed his eyes way too much. it feel too weird and unnatural.
did you enlarge the eyes as well? they seem too big for his face.
actually his all body proportions seem distorted, but that's probably due to the 16mm lens.

1) That's a boy? Wow. Totally misjudged that.
2) I guess any critique would have to come from what if any processing you did
3) Maybe a little more blurring of the sticks in the background so they don't distract from the eyes.

I think it looks generally fine.

Decent job exposure-wise, and I enjoy the wide angle usage.. distortion works well here.

Eyes are very clumsy however. If you did the adjustment on a layer, adjust its opacity down so that you only see a slight bump when you apply it. As it is, it looks too cartoony. In my experience if you can tell right off the bat they're PP'd its too much. If it makes you wonder to yourself, then its probably about right.

I totally agree with all points made here.

I used lightroom adjustment brush to lighten & sharpen his eyes a little. That's about the whole pp that i did on this picture. May be i should have brightened them a little less. That said, he did have large eyes. I used my UWA lens, because i thought it would highlight his face compared to his body or the surroundings.

You could probably keep the left-hand eye if you dim down the right-hand eye so it follows the shadows a little more.

Could be the point of view that made his head and eyes larger and inproportionate to his body,

Looks way too digitally enhanced. The catchlights look unnatural.
