Default Splash Page image

So after a wedding cancellation today, I used the time to update my tired splash page for my website. I decided to go with self portraits to suit the theme of the link they lead to...

For this shot, I blatantly ripped off an idea from last year's The Office halloween special, where Jim continued his protest against outlandish costumes, and just wrote book on his face, and am using it to link to my FB page..

IMGP8785

EXIF:

1/160
f6.3
ISO 80
Manual

Lighting: Key was 1/1 power using an Orbis Ringflash modifier straight on and level to me, Kicker was strafing the wall from camera right at 1/8 power.

The question I'm putting to you is whether the shirt I was wearing today is an issue? Of course any other comments would be welcomed, as despite being a heavy poster in this sub-forum, this is the first one I've thrown up for critique.

Thanks in advance..

I didn't notice the shirt until you pointed it out.

Cool picture! I love how you lit the background so it's not just all one color. I personally find the shirt a bit distracting, but that's just me.

What about the shirt would be in question? If I sat and stared at it for a length of time, then I might find it a bit questionable; however, I don't stay that long on a photo so for me, it's fine.

Default why don't you try different shirts.

The shot works great and i love the lighting. Are you able to try this shot with a few different shirts?

I could use a different shirt, but I guess if no one finds it offensive, I don't want to go through the hassle of shooting all three shots again, processing and re-doing my splash page, which is ultimately what I wanted to know... thanks everyone!

Not sure what about the shirt would be offensive? I think it shows your personality, I mean it is your website. It's a creative idea and a unique shirt. Plus it's such a small part of this image I didn't even notice initially.

Cute. I like the shirt. It makes for a nice foreground. Otherwise it'd just be grey and a more different grey.

Just wanted to add Niresangwa that your "General Info" page on your FB site is fantastic. It's exactly the way to sell yourself without any of that "capturing a moment" crapola I hate. Awesome. Period(.) For that alone, you get a "like" from me.

I was going to make a crap joke about the shirt but after reading BigFuzzys' comment I went and checked out your facebook. I agree with him, the Info and the Hey You page is brilliant and is a great way to attract attention.

PS. I "liked" you, how do I claim my 5 cents and stick of gum?
