Lightbulb Time was never on my side..

Time was never on my side...
Time was never on my side..

A very experimental self-portrait, the photo was clicked from as close as the lens would focus. Grayscale conversion and extreme exposure led to a very twisted image, that's hardly me (i still consider myself young :P)
Yet there's that eerie feel to the photo.
Please feel free to share your comments..

Photo Details: RebelXS and 18-55IS@55mm, F/5, 1/6exp (crazy values, i know)

I can't decide
I like the idea, just not sure you cropped to the right area of your face.

I agree. For that title, if yer getting a bit of years on ya (like in yer 40's or later) maybe a close-up of one eye showing the wrinkles would work (and yeah, I hate seeing them on my almost-50yo face (in 9 days, I'll be 1/2 century old) as well but......Gotta be honest in admitting as much as I don't like feeling old, I am getting there.)

i cannot connect it to the title since what i see is a very high contrast bw portion of your face. maybe if i was a dermatologist, i can appreciate this more.
enjoy your youth, this coming from a grandfather of 73.

Agree that it's not the regular cropping for a face.. I wanted to draw the attention to the uneven skin that comes across as quite surprising, to say the least
btw, i'm all of 28 :P

Interesting take, it goes against the typical composition rules, but your experimenting could produce something new, keep shooting
