Default Different look

So I don't normally do portraits but through a stroke of luck I was handed use of a studio for several months in exchange for helping out an older woman who has never shot digital.
I'm enjoying it and using the time to play around with things I normally wouldn't do, like the attached photo.
Any critique, suggestions, other looks along this line would be good to hear. I'm normally the straight shooter so this kind of shot is new and I don't have anyone to tell me if it's good, awful or just plain strange.
Have at it but be sort of nice, it's just for fun!

I'm new at all this but I think this looks fantastic! Very creative. The only thing would be if the reflection in the guitar could be a little bit more clear.

Thanks! I've tried several different things to get the reflection clear and a few worked but the guitar had fingerprints all over it so I thought I'd add some smoke. Maybe I'll erase the smoke over the reflection, that might help.

Skipping over the PP because that's a different discussion...

The thing that makes me uncomfortable looking at this is the positioning of the subject - and remember the subject in this case isn't the actual guy, but his reflection also, and its the reflection that people will be drawn to.

You might find that its a more powerful image if you play with different framing options. The one that immediately springs to mind is to crop the left third out completely, maybe even cropping out the left side of the person, loading up the left side f the frame with the subject/reflection. You'll also have to compensate by taking a little off the top and bottom.

Just a thought, but thats the biggest issue with this IMHO.

Thanks! I keep playing with it. Haven't thought about cropping, I'll give it a go!
