great lightning and exposure.
I just don't get the blue bag... can't decide if it's distracting or not
overall - great photo!

Hey bro. It was her sweater. She had taken it off. It's pretty chilly (0 to -10 celcius) here at the moment and I'm also pretty sure she didn't wanna put her face down on the boards... haha. Just sayin. We do have some shots without the sweater but it does add a bit of framing.

Nice idea, however, she looks stressed instead of languid with that wrinkled brow. In fact, I thought that the blue “thing” might be an ice bag on her head. lol

Also, consider a larger or smaller crop because, the dip of her chest is barely visible. Either in or out. I vote for more chest.

Always enjoy looking at your stuff Mitch..

I think you have a couple of things going on with this one. Certainly the obvious one is the sweater. As pps mentioned, it just competes for attention too much - it's the brightest and brashest part of the image, and doesn't have much in the way of form. Also, it's hiding most of her hand, so her fingers have that disembodied feel to them. You could probably get away with cropping out the majority of the sweater, which in turn would bring her eyes closer to the left side of the frame... they are after all the major focus of the image.

Overall though, I like the cool tones of the image. Did you desaturate this much? Did you try a B&W? Not that I think it would be an improvement one way or the other, just wondering. There's a lot of delicate lines and tones across her body which witht he natural light is very pleasing. I think that that ends being the strength of the image, not particularly her eyes for me...

the eyes seem expectant to me, not particularly serene. That has more to do with her eye brows than her eyes however. If you really want the eyes to be the strong anchor I think you were going for, you have to get in closer on the crop and get rid of the other prominent aspects starting with the sweater, that leaf litter on the deck etc etc...

Nice shot of an obviously beautiful girl, well exposed and processed, just need to put some thought into what you have here, because I think there's more that can be dragged out of it.

Good to hear. I will put some thought into what you've said. There's another related shot with some minor problems on my dev account if you guys wish to take a look.
The reason it's cropped so tight on her chest is due to a dress that simply would not agree with her, in this pose.
