Default Girl Smiling

Camera Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XS
Exposure (1/160)
Aperture f/5
Focal Length 41 mm
ISO Speed 1600

AGAIN, I forgot to bump down my ISO. UGH.

I know I'm supposed to ask questions, but I don't really have any, just want some general feedback.

I'm really pleased with the catchlights in her eyes, thats something I've been working on because I feel like they really add depth and emotion to images.

Did you bump the contrast or saturation? Her skin looks orange... or was there just a really warm sunset here?

Composition is a little uncomfortable with her looking out of the frame when she's weighted to the left side, but thats more of a personal opinion.

I did adjust some of the color, but yeah the sun was really going down fast. It was really almost too dark to be out there. And her face is always really red, just from her complexion (she's half Mexican too, so her skin is pretty tan). Is there a way to fix just her face? I really like the color in the rest of the image, but you're def right ab her face.

I can only speak to using CS5, but open up a saturation adjustment layer, select the red channel and very gently reduce it to cool it down some. It really won't take much.

Edit:with your permission, this was a 10 second edit doing as I described above, just dropped the red channel to -15. With more care you could do a better job attenuating the skin tones. Just let me know if you'd like it removed
