Default Toddler on a chilly walk

I really like this shot of my daughter but am wondering if the background is distracting, not blurred enough?
Also, the day was very gray, very flat light, what is the best way to work with this sort of light?

This is a very nice portrait but I think if you cloned out those 2 sticks that keep drawing your eye to them it would keep the viewers attention on your subject where it belongs

I think it is a beautiful shot. Love the colors. And I think background blurred enough. Doesn't look flat at all. Nice job!

Its a beautiful shot and you've done well with the lighting. That stalk of grass is a bit distracting though, are you able to clone that out?

I'll give a shot at cloning out the grass/sticks. I have very, very little experience with any PP. I have a dowloaded a trial of Lightroom and will play around.

Gray days rock! You have a giant softbox above you and I love the light in this. +1 on outing those sticks

What a beautiful picture! I love the colors in her hat and her shirt with the background. I see what the others are saying with the sticks, but my attention was drawn to the little girl first, I didn't find the sticks all that distracting.

i think it's a great shot and the lighting is perfect. i'm a little bothered by the very light stick; the other one is similar to others in the background and seems ok. on my monitor, it looks a little cool- but i'm a great one for warming up my photos- i like that look.
