Default Getiing a early start....

on Christmas Cards. here is my image...

Family Christmas Card

Please keep in mind I only have 1 strobe, no light stand or umbrella or any lighting equipment other than one 580EXII strobe.
I know my daughter is looking off camera but other than that is there anything one could do to improve this shot other than buy more expensive lighting gear?

Aperture f/2.5

The only improvement I would recommend is a nice frame to hang it. This is a great shot.

do you have one with the little girl looking at the camera? would love to see that possibly. Also they are sitting almost exactly center, maybe crop more of the bottom off which would create equal spacing left to right since his boot is cut off and shes got an extra bit of space next to her.

I really wish i did. I have several more in the same pose but the lighting was way over exposed or underexposed so if I switched heads it would be way off color wise.
I'll try the crop. Thanks for your comments!

It looks a little crooked to me. You might want to try straiting it up a bit. Other than that, I think it looks great. Nice job!

From what I see you would not need any more lighting anyway, looks good and nice colors. The only thing I see is you foot is being cut off, minor thing for this image but something to try to catch next time but it sounds like you took the shot as well as were in the shot so that can make it tricky. Nice job!

it is very nice. I might try a crop and see if you could move the eyes/faces to a third rather than in the middle. It is a very nice shot as is...
